In this installment of our Agent Spotlight series at Southwest Florida REGroup we’re interviewing Tina Gonzalez, who specializes in Fort Myers Real Estate. Let’s learn more about Tina’s buying/selling expertise, as well as get to know her a bit better outside of the real estate world.
What do you love about real estate, why’d you get into real estate in the first place?
Like in my past career, I am no longer racing to be on top without the feeling I am not making a difference in the bigger picture for people and my community. I get to witness perfect endings and new beginnings each day.Â
I have been given the opportunity to be involved in the most important purchase in a person’s life – a home. I get to know their story and become part of it for a short period of time. The sense of accomplishment I see on my clients face is an amazing feeling that is hard to describe. I am so fortunate and honored to be a trusted person for someone who is making these decisions.Â
My real estate career does not require me to choose between work and being a fully-involved mom. I now have the flexibility to be the mom I always wanted to be while being successful in my career without that heart wrenching feeling of guilt.
Is there a particular area in Southwest Florida you concentrate on (or love to work in)?Â
I love all of Southwest Florida. I have worked with clients throughout all of it. I tend to work the most in Fort Myers. I imagine it is because I have lived and worked here for over 20 years. I feel comfortable working in all of SWFL. At the end of the day I go where my clients want to go.
What do you do for fun?Â
I love being a mom to Bells and Cruz. Our family is very active: between football and soccer we stay busy. But that doesn’t stop me from catching as many SWFL sunsets as I can. Our SWFL beaches always make for a great day.
Favorite restaurant?
If it means I am not cooking, let’s go!
What are your keys to success?
I focus on the people and invest in relationships.  Consistency is a requirement to be successful, let alone a requirement to survive in this industry. Trusting the process and holding onto my faith get me through the challenging days.
How has our system worked for you?
The processes that have been created work! There will always be a love/hate relationship with the day to day tasks, but I know each of those steps I take is only getting me to the next closed sale.
Any tips for new agents?
The procedure Alex and Scott have created are not complicated, it only requires consistent work. Trust the process that has been created and follow through with it. I regret my hesitancy when I first joined the team. I am sure I missed out on a few additional closings. Lean in on this team. They genuinely want to see you succeed.
