In this installment of our Agent Spotlight series at Southwest Florida REGroup we’re interviewing Kevin O’Keefe, who specializes in SW FL Real Estate. Let’s learn more about his buying/selling expertise, as well as get to know him a bit better outside of the real estate world.
What do you love about real estate, why’d you get into real estate in the first place?
I’ve always been in the service industry. That it is continually changing and is always challenging. When you are able to help someone find their “Dream Home” it is very rewarding!
Is there a particular area in Southwest Florida you concentrate on (or love to work in)?
The Beaches of SWFL are like working in paradise. Showing properties and looking out at the beautiful blue waters of the gulf is a joy!
What do you do for fun?
I enjoy getting out in our great weather and attending the many events and activities in our area. There are always festivals, car shows, baseball games, concerts and of course the award winning beaches. That’s where you can find me enjoying the southwest Florida lifestyle on my off times. I like it so much I started a Facebook page called Fort Myers Life to highlight events and happenings in our area. Send me a friend request and get dialed in to our amazing lifestyle!
Favorite restaurant?
Gulf Shore Grill on Fort Myers Beach is always fun. You can enjoy great food, live music and gorgeous views of the gulf.
What are your keys to success?
Thick skin and relentless persistence. Some will, some won’t so what who’s next!
How has our system worked for you?
You have to have a cooperative team spirit and strong support system to remain consistent in this fast paced business. Our system allows you to stay focused on the important things, so you can avoid the peaks and valleys of the cyclical nature of real estate business in South West Florida.
Any tips for new agents?
Put yourself in an environment that will allow you access to qualified professionals that help nurture your skills. Mentors with a wide range of knowledge in the local real estate arena are essential in a faster development of your professionalism. Remember, you’re in a marathon not a sprint to success!
