In this installment of our Agent Spotlight series at Southwest Florida REGroup we’re interviewing Kenan Gelfond, who specializes in Bonita Springs Real Estate. Let’s learn more about his buying/selling expertise, as well as get to know him a bit better outside of the real estate world.
What do you love about real estate, why’d you get into real estate in the first place?
My love for real estate comes from the people and their stories. It could be an excited first time homebuyer, a growing family that needs more space, or someone that is thrilled to move to paradise. No matter the case, there is joy in finding the best way to help each individual person. All buyers deserve an agent that will walk them through the home buying process and take their specific needs into account.
Is there a particular area in Southwest Florida you concentrate on (or love to work in)?
Bonita Springs is an area I love and consider to be home. There is even a sense of pride rooting for our local youth sports teams! However, I am confident in my abilities to help future buyers find the right fit anywhere in Lee and Collier County without bias. I have enjoyed working in Naples, Fort Myers, Bonita Springs, Estero, and Cape Coral. We are extremely fortunate to have many beautiful towns and communities here in Southwest Florida.
What do you do for fun?
In my spare time you can find me at the soccer fields! I especially love being at the soccer fields with The Bonita Springs Wildcats. The Wildcats is a passion project for myself and the community. It is a non-profit youth soccer club dedicated to providing affordable youth soccer, hosting community events, and empowering our youth through dedicated mentors. Any day playing soccer is a good day!
Favorite restaurant?
This is always a tough question because it is hard to pick just one! If you are looking for a diamond in the rough, I would say the best choice is El Gran Taco Loco. It is a taco stand located behind Benson’s Grocery store in Bonita Springs. In my opinion, they have the best tacos and quesadillas in the area!
If you are looking for a night out, my favorite restaurant is Brasas Steakhouse and Grill. It is a fusion of Cuban Cuisine and an Argentinian Steakhouse. The food is delicious and the atmosphere makes for a fun and friendly environment with live music on the weekends.
What are your keys to success?
A good night’s sleep! I truly believe success follows us when we find ways to take care of ourselves. This includes routine, diet, exercise and even meditation. When the mind and body are refreshed and motivated, it makes it easier to help those around us.
How has our system worked for you?
Joining the Southwest Florida RE Group was the best decision I made in my real estate career! The systems in place have provided me with all the tools necessary to be the best agent for my clients and it continues to show in the reviews. All the five star reviews earned this year are a testament to the support I received from this group. The leadership is always ready to lend a helping hand and I am extremely grateful. Thank you!
Any tips for new agents?
When trying to inspire others, I like to lean on one of my favorite quotes, “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.” I chose this quote because I believe there is no such thing as an overnight success. Your goals are possible, but they will require consistency, dedication, and planning. Just keep your head up and continue learning each day!
I would never say there is a shortcut for hard work, but there is a way to make the learning curve less daunting. The best advice is to join the Southwest Florida RE Group!
