In this installment of our Agent Spotlight series at Southwest Florida REGroup we’re interviewing Ed Rivero, who specializes in Cape Coral/Ft Myers Real Estate. Let’s learn more about his buying/selling expertise, as well as get to know him a bit better outside of the real estate world.
What do you love about real estate, why’d you get into real estate in the first place?
I love matching people with their dream home, especially clients coming from other states that have dreamt about moving to FL for the weather and lifestyle. To see that vision finally become reality makes me relive my experience when I moved here from NJ. Being part of that process for someone else really makes it come full circle for me.
Is there a particular area in Southwest Florida you concentrate on (or love to work in)?
While I serve all of Lee and Collier Counties, my preferred area is Cape Coral/Ft Myers/Estero.
What do you do for fun?
In my downtime I enjoy spending family time with my wife and kids, fishing , football, playing chess and I love vacationing.
Favorite restaurant?
My favorite non-chain restaurant right now is small hole in the wall called Cubay. It’s a Cuban restaurant in Cape Coral. The food is amazing no matter what you order, the owners are very friendly and its very reasonably priced.
What are your keys to success?
What has worked for me in my real estate career is to treat people with kindness and respect, and expect the same back. I believe that attitude is ultra-important and I work at keeping a positive outlook to be at my best. Also, I believe in this industry, with all its ups and downs its important to not to get too high when there are good times, and not let myself get too low in the bad times.
How has our system worked for you?
Although I am not new to real estate, I am new to general and there is an unbelievable amount of information to learn. If it weren’t for our amazing team and our systems, I know I would have had a much longer ramp up time. Having access to instant expert support, a proven system, regular leads, and wonderful team leaders and teammates is something I never take for granted. I am grateful every day for the opportunity that Alex and Scott have given me, and I know its only a matter of time till I take it to the next level.
Any tips for new agents?
My advice to new agents is to bring a positive attitude, trust the system, and stick to it. The tried-and-true system works if you do your part and stay patient. Success does not happen overnight, but in time it will happen if you follow the formula. There are few careers as rewarding as real estate and its worth the effort in the end.
